Product Name | Tenugui Gold Foil Lucky Cat with Gold Coin, 35 x 93 cm |

Item Number | 03-763 |
Item Description | The "Foil-Stamped Tenugui" is created using golden aluminum foil that is dyed directly into the fabric. The foil will not peel off even after washing, so the cloth can be used practically as a tenugui. Because the gold does not fade—symbolizing that "wealth will not disappear"—it is considered highly auspicious. This makes it a popular item to display as a lucky charm, or to give as a thoughtful souvenir or gift. The design features the beckoning hand of the Maneki-neko (Beckoning Cat) along with gold coins (koban), both traditional Japanese symbols of prosperity and good fortune. The Maneki-neko is widely believed to invite wealth, success, and happiness, making this design particularly meaningful. The dye penetrates lightly through to the reverse side, ensuring a refined and elegant finish. Notes - As this is a handmade product, slight variations in size may occur. - Due to the nature of the dye, some changes in color and slight bleeding may appear. Please enjoy these as part of the charm of hand-dyed items. - Colors may transfer if exposed to water, sweat, etc. Please wash separately. - When ironing, use a low temperature and place a cloth over the fabric. - Traditionally, both edges of a tenugui are left unfinished to allow faster drying and for hygiene purposes. With use and washing, the fabric naturally tightens, and any fraying will stop after a few millimeters. |
