Item Description | This piece is one of the works from "Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji" by Katsushika Hokusai. It is said to depict the area south of Kajikazawa along the Fuji River, near a gorge known as “Rabbit’s Back.” The triangular composition formed by the fisherman, the protruding rock, and the casting net mirrors the silhouette of Mount Fuji in the background, creating a striking visual harmony. The first edition was printed using only indigo blue, and this piece is considered one of Hokusai’s finest examples of aizuri-e (blue ink prints). This furoshiki is ideal not only for use as a tapestry or framed artwork, but also for everyday purposes such as wrapping bento lunch boxes, book covers, or gift wrapping. |
