Tenugui Warrior Print - Traditional Dyeing, 35 x 110 cm

This tenugui is created using the shinto-zome (penetrating dyeing technique), which allows the design to be beautifully expressed all the way through to the reverse side of the fabric.
The highlight of this piece is the Musha-e (Warrior Picture) design. Musha-e is a traditional Japanese art style that focuses on depictions of warriors—samurai, military commanders, and heroic figures. These figures are typically portrayed wearing elaborate armor, helmets, and weaponry, capturing the grandeur and spirit of battle.
Dynamic compositions often illustrate intense combat scenes or decisive moments in history, showcasing both the bravery of the warriors and the artistry of the design. - As this is a handmade product, slight variations in size may occur.
- Due to the nature of the dye, some changes in color and slight bleeding may appear. Please enjoy these as part of the charm of hand-dyed items.
- Colors may transfer if exposed to water, sweat, etc. Please wash separately.
- When ironing, use a low temperature and place a cloth over the fabric.
- Traditionally, both edges of a tenugui are left unfinished to allow faster drying and for hygiene purposes. With use and washing, the fabric naturally tightens, and any fraying will stop after a few millimeters.
