Tenugui Gold Foil White Snake, 35 x 93 cm

The "Foil-Stamped Tenugui" is crafted with golden aluminum foil carefully dyed into the fabric. Unlike ordinary prints, the foil does not peel off even after washing, making it practical for daily use as a tenugui. Because the gold remains intact, it is also considered auspicious, making it popular as both a functional item and a lucky charm. It can be displayed as a decorative piece or given as a thoughtful gift or souvenir.
This design features the white snake, a traditional symbol of good fortune and prosperity, surrounded by peonies and wisteria, which beautifully adorn the grounds of Kanesawa Suijin Shrine. The dye penetrates lightly through to the reverse side, ensuring a refined finish on both sides of the fabric.

- Colors may transfer if exposed to water, sweat, etc. Please wash separately.
- When ironing, use a low temperature and place a cloth over the fabric.
- Traditionally, both edges of a tenugui are left unfinished to allow faster drying and for hygiene purposes. With use and washing, the fabric naturally tightens, and any fraying will stop after a few millimeters.
