This tenugui (traditional Japanese hand towel) features the world-renowned masterpiece "Wind God and Thunder God Folding Screen" by Tawaraya Sōtatsu.
It depicts the Wind God, gliding gracefully through the sky with his wind bag billowing, and the Thunder God, firmly stomping as he carries drums on his back to unleash resounding thunder.

As deities who govern nature, the Wind God and Thunder God embody the Japanese people's deep reverence for nature since ancient times. They are considered powerful protectors, believed not only to ward off misfortune but also to bring rain for abundant harvests, drive away evil to secure success, and safeguard against natural disasters.

- As each item is handmade, slight variations in size may occur.
- Due to the nature of the dyes, variations in color and slight bleeding may occur. Please enjoy these as part of the unique charm of hand-dyeing.
- Colors may transfer when exposed to water, sweat, etc. We recommend washing separately.
- When using an iron, set it to a low temperature and always use a pressing cloth.
- Traditionally, both ends of a tenugui are left unfinished to allow them to dry quickly and maintain better hygiene.
- With repeated washing, the fabric will tighten and fraying will naturally stop after a few millimeters.
